Valentine's DIY

Here's the DIY I have prepared for Valentine's day. It's a little album for your loved one, and I'm going to explain how I've do it so you can make it yourself. I hope you like it!

✎ What do you need

▷ Black and whichever coloured pen you like
▷ A poster board of a light colour
▷ Cardboard ( from a box )
▷ Metal binder rings ( if you don't know what it is you'll see it on the pics )
▷ Little pictures of you and your mate
▷ Adhesive tape or washi tape
▷ Scissors and glue
▷ A paper punch

☞ Steps

The first thing you have to do is get a little book or notebook of the size that you want for the album and draw its shape on the cardboard.

Then you have to cut it and do it again to make the back cover of your little album.

Now that you have the shape of the cover you have to draw and cut this shape on the poster board. I put 4  and secured them with a clip to go faster and not have to cut thousands of times the same shape.

The next step is make the holes to your little album pages. Centre the paper punch and do the holes. I made some marks to get all of them on the same place more or less (cause my paper punch doesn't work well and I could make just 2 at a time).

Now we have to perforate the cover. Centring our previously perforated poster board and make the holes with a pencil is the easiest way.

To make a bit cute the front cover I cut a cardboard rectangle and another one a bit smaller with poster board and wrote "our name" in the best way I could. Then I fixed them with glue and stuck it on the cover with superglue.

Now comes the most personal part of the gift, you have to cut the pics and stick them to the album with some phrases. I put some nice qualities of my friend and a picture that represents each one. I put some funny pics and ones from a TV show that we love, I put some cute stickers too... Just be a bit creative!

Valentine's day gift ideas

Hello! As you may know on the 14 of this month lots of people are going to celebrate Valentine's day. For those who are going to spread their love with their partner I have picked some nice ideas to share with you and a nice DIY (on the next post >.<) to give  to the person you love. If you haven't got a boyfriend or girlfriend a you and a friend can make one for each other to celebrate this lovely day too.

Gifts ♥

Although it's a typical gift chocolate can be a great idea for Valentines day. There are special boxes for this day and most of they are really cute. In fact you don't have to spend a lot of money in Valentine's day. This day is like an excuse to amend all the little mistakes with your partner and show him/her how much do you love him or her.

So in Valentines day the best gift is not always something material like jewels, expensive bags, watches... etc. but it can be something cheap like what I'm going to show you now:

A box of chocolates is always a good idea to gift for Valentines day, but don't give him or her the chocolates and go, a good box of chocolates is for sharing! My favourite chocolates are from Lindt, they're irresistible mmmmhh... and for Valentines they have this cute heart-shaped box.

To go with the chocolates is a great idea to have a "movies afternoon" at home, both sitting in the sofa with the warm blanket and watching cool movies non stop. They don't have to be specially romantic ones, just take some of the ones you both like or want to see, even if they're Chuck Norris films. If you like animation films you can watch Frozen or Tangled from Disney, they're kind of romantic but really funny films, and their songs are really catching.

I personally really like musicals and my favourite is Moulin Rouge, it's from 2001 and it's a really romantic movie. The film I saw last Valentines with some friends was The Great Gatsby and I have to say I liked it a lot, I highly recommend it.

Another great idea for Valentines day is a letter. I think that with all the social media and facilities we have to communicate with people we have lost a really beautiful way to tell our feelings. A letter says more of you than a whatsapp message I think... And what's the best excuse to show your feelings than Valentines day?

But if you have some money and want to spend it on this special person you can buy something. For girls I'll chose something of jewelry. A jewellers shop that I love is Tous, and for Valentines they have special pieces that are really adorable, and they have  a diverse range of prices. Here you have the ones I like the most of this Valentines collection.

If the person you want to gift is a man, then you can buy some tickets for a concert of his favourite singer or band, or buy something that he's going to like from his favourite series, or maybe a romantic volume where Batman and Robin get married in Las Vegas? Just kidding, but id think of something like that, a limited edition comic, or an extended version of his favourite movie in DVD.

All this gifts aren't specially for girls and the others just for boys, I mean, you know more than anyone what does your valentine likes, so you'll decide if you buy her a comic or a necklace, I'm just giving some ideas ^^

I hope you liked this post, I'm going to post the DIY really soon today, stay tuned!
Bye!

January Favourites

Hi my lovely readers! I'm going to start with my January favourites. I'm going to say, if you didn't noticed or you're new in this blog, that every month I'm putting 5 of my favourites. The ones that always are going to be are music and films/series. The other 3 faves usually are accessories, clothes or cosmetics, but those three can be anything that I really liked. This is how I'm going to formalise my favourites for this 2015. Now let's start with them!

#1. Bershka romper

I bought this a couple of weeks ago because I fell in love with it. I have to say that it's a bit long for me, I'm really mad with the shops where I usually buy 'cause they make clothes for tall girls and personally I'm quite short. But this one is so cute that I can't get mad with it. Maybe I'll go to the modiste to make it fit better on me but I'm not sure at all. It's made of a silky material and it's really comfortable. I like the V neck that it haves, it gives a kind of sexy look >.<

#2. River Island boots

If you have seen my last post you'll know that this are my new ankle booties. They're kind of grunge style. I find them really comfortable and cute for this cold season. I like that they give some "elegance" ( if this is the word ) to a simple outfit because of the heel, it's 8cm I think.

#3. BattleBlock theatre

I downloaded this game at the beginning of January because started the Steam sales. If you don't know what's Steam it's a video game platform which you can install in your PC/Mac and buy, play or download games. Usually in Steam people share their plays and items that you win by playing games.
Well, this game is really, really funny. The thing is that you were on a ship with some friends and suddenly a storm makes the ship arrive to a strange island and you become a slave. Well, I don't think you're imagining well how it's the game so I leave you a short video of what's about, personally I love it! And the characters are so cute ^^

#4. Olly Murs

As I said at the beginning of the post there will be a music favourite every month, so this month is Olly Murs. I knew about him long time ago but I heard a "new" song of him and I really liked it. Although the lyrics aren't what I love of this song the rhythm is really catchy and easy to remember, it's called "Wrapped up". Here I'm gonna show you which songs are my favourite of him:

☞ Dear darling
 Thinking of me
☞ Wrapped up

#5. Death Note

I really like watching animes and Death Note is one of the most known animes. I've never seen it because there was a character that I was scared of and I thought the anime isn't going to be my cup of tea, but I was wrong. Even though you aren't really into anime this one specially is a good one to begin, because its not long ( 37 episodes of 20 minutes ) and it has a lot of intrigue. Maybe you don't really like it at the beginning 'cause it can seem a bit creepy, but trust me, it's a good anime. Ah, I forgot, usually animes haven't got English dubbing so you'll have to read subtitles, maybe Death Note it's dubbed 'cause is very known, you can search it.

I leave you with episode 1 (sub) if you want to give it a try.

Well these were all my favourites for this past month I hope you enjoy the post and get inspired to watch the anime I recommended. I'll see you on my Valentines post.
Bye! ♥
